Burnout Counselling in Vancouver

Support from a counsellor who has been through burnout and knows the way back.

I've Been There

I know burnout from the inside. I went through it while working for a large mental health company, and recovering from it reshaped how I live and work. It's a big part of why I opened my own practice.

So when you tell me you're running on empty, I understand. Not just from training, but from experience.

What Burnout Can Look Like

Exhaustion that rest and weekends don't fix
Feeling cynical or detached from work you used to care about
Feeling like nothing you do is good enough
Dreading Monday by Saturday afternoon
Getting sick more often
Snapping at people you love
Losing the sense of who you are outside of work or caregiving

This is not an exhaustive list of symptoms, and it is not meant to diagnose. If you are noticing that things feel off in these ways, it may be a good time to reach out for support. Book with me for a free consult or reach out to your doctor to investigate your symptoms further.

How We'll Work Together

Burnout recovery isn't just about rest. It's about understanding what drained you and rebuilding a life that doesn't lead straight back to empty.

We'll look at your workload, your expectations of yourself, your boundaries, and what's in your control. We'll work on the patterns that keep you over-giving, and reconnect you with the parts of life that refill you.

Burnout Prevention

You don't have to hit the wall to get support. If you can feel yourself heading toward burnout, therapy can help you spot the early warning signs and make changes before things fall apart. This is especially helpful for helping professionals, caregivers, first responders, and high achievers.

In Person or Online

Sessions are available in person at my Yaletown office in downtown Vancouver, or online anywhere in British Columbia, which can be easier to fit into a full schedule.
